Risk Review

Reviewing risks is an essential component to an organization's security strategy. This enables staff to meet regulatory requirements, validate that existing controls protect business functions, and determine when new controls are required. In a world where safety is paramount, schools and organizations need to be confident that they have policies and documentation which support their clients. Canadian International Expeditions will support schools and organizations through the review process. Louise has a Masters in Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management giving her a solid, academic grounding in the technical requirements of assessing risks, in conjunction with her personal and professional experiences. Louise has experience in writing policy and standards documents, most notably the SEAL Standards in Off-Site Safety for International Excursions. She has recently been appointed to the Standards Council of Canada where she is a part of the International Organization for Standardization, sitting on Technical Committee 228, developing the international standard in adventure travel and tourism, with a special interest and input into the leader competencies, risk management and service provider provision sub-sections.
